Random Thing in an Old Notebook

Going through an old notebook, I found the following sentence:

Analysts more than most people set up boundaries and then let people have whatever reaction they want to have to those boundaries.

I don’t know if this was something I thought up and then wrote down or if I copied it from something. There is no citation info on the page.
